Floor Lamps

In our living room, there is absolutely no overhead lighting source.  Hence, lamps come into the picture.  Currently we have a lamp I love, that I think I need a shade that sits on the secretary. (sad when you cannot recall if your lamp has a shade on it or not...can you tell this room has not been a priority...I blame the sofa that screams at me every time I enter the room to recover it).  We also have a lamp that I do not hate that sits on the mantle (our mantle is unique to me in that it has two plug built into it on either side).

I feel that a floor lamp would make a world of difference in the room.  In fact, I tried to liberate a classic brass toned floor lamp from my parents house.  Unfortunately for me, my mom uses that lamp when she plays bridge (the rest of the time it resides in my former bedroom unused and not plugged into a socket).  I tried to reason with her that it would better loved and utilized in my but no such luck.  Time to move on and locate a new lamp.

I found one lamp that I love how it looks, but I do not love the price. I cannot justify paying the price for a lamp in a room that we rarely use when we have other projects on our list too.

You can check it out here.

Do any of you out there know of any traditional brass toned floor lamps for say under $250 (if it is less that $175 I would be even happier).  I am not asking for a replica of the one that I love.  Just one that is very simple with little or even no ornamentation.

Thanks in advance for any help!
