Quick Piece about me

I grew up in a small town in Alabama, where my neighbors really were my family.  I moved to slightly bigger town for high school and then later went to college in Charleston, South Carolina.  I fell in love with Charleston and it was hard to move back to Bama after college. 

I became reacquainted with the love of my life, which is from the slightly bigger town, and we were married.  We now reside in a house from the mid-twentieth century that has always been in his family.  We are slowly turning this house into our home. 

We work hard to try and stay on a tight budget to ensure that we are preparing for our future.  Sometimes, this means that major projects must wait until we have the money saved.

I enjoy entertaining and look for any excuse to have people over for whatever occasion.  Usually the LML complies with my wishes. 

We love our pets, even if the cat drives me crazy sometimes. 

Ok a little more random stuff about me.

I love:

1.  Dr. Pepper (but I keep trying to give it up…trying is the operative word)

2.  Christmas Decorations (especially ones I find for a good price…Look for me at your local store the day after Christmas)

3.  French Fries (inherited it honestly from my mother’s side of the family)

4.  Cooking food (Yes, I am one of those people who collects cookbooks and actually uses them.  I try to include at least one new recipe every week.)

5.  Shoes and Purses (both of these options have had to suffer some since I got married since Hubby does not understand)

6.  Pearls (I have been known to wear my pearls for almost any given occasion)

7.  A good book

8.  Sleeping in on the weekend

9.  Steel Magnolias (my favorite movie)

10. Going on a trip anywhere (wish there were more trips in my budget)
